FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about PCS Labs, its research, and how to engage.
What is PCS Labs?
PCS Labs is an early-stage research initiative exploring stability and governance infrastructure for autonomous AI systems. It is research-driven, protocol-level in orientation, and focused on the needs of enterprises, governments, research institutions, and critical infrastructure operators.
What problem does PCS Labs address?
As AI systems move from isolated models to long-running, multi-agent workflows, the existing infrastructure layer — orchestration, observability, communication — was not designed for systems that operate autonomously over extended time horizons. PCS Labs is researching the missing layer: stability, state continuity, drift detection, and governable coordination.
Is PCS Labs a product or a research initiative?
PCS Labs is a research initiative, not a product. No production-ready system has been released. Internal validator systems and experimental prototypes are being used to test research assumptions in controlled environments. The goal is to build the intellectual and technical foundation for a stability layer that does not yet exist at production scale.
What is the relationship between PCS Labs and Verun?
PCS Labs and Verun are related but distinct. Verun is focused on execution governance and runtime verification for autonomous AI workflows. PCS Labs operates at a different layer — researching the foundational stability and coordination infrastructure beneath the execution layer.
What does 'pre-PCT' mean and why does it matter?
PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) is the international patent filing mechanism. Pre-PCT means the core research is in preparation for international patent filing. During this period, PCS Labs does not disclose detailed technical mechanics publicly. The public website describes the research at a conceptual level appropriate for investor and partner communication.
Who is PCS Labs for?
PCS Labs is oriented toward enterprises and institutions that deploy or depend on AI at scale: enterprises in regulated industries, government bodies and national AI programs, research institutions working on AI reliability, critical infrastructure operators, and infrastructure investors with a deep-tech thesis.
What does 'sovereign AI infrastructure' mean?
Sovereign AI infrastructure refers to AI systems that can be fully controlled, inspected, and owned by the deploying organisation — without dependency on external cloud providers or third-party platforms. PCS Labs research is designed to be compatible with air-gapped, locally-controlled, and nationally-sovereign deployment patterns.
How can I access the full technical materials?
The strategic memorandum — covering research background, technical framing, and investment context — is available to qualified investors, academic partners, and design collaborators upon request. More detailed technical materials are available under NDA. Please use the Memorandum page to submit a request.
Is PCS Labs raising investment?
Yes. PCS Labs is actively raising a pre-seed round. We are engaging infrastructure investors with a thesis in AI governance, protocol-layer research, and deep-tech ventures. Please visit the About page or contact us directly for investor information.
